Congratulations to Madolynn Pessin, a cashier at the Swarthmore CO-OP, for recently accepting a full-time position at Penn Medicine’s Patient Service Associate Excellence Academy.

Maddy is leaving the CO-OP after one and a half years of outstanding service as she prepares for her next journey with the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

“We are very thankful Maddy walked through our doors a year and a half ago,” said the CO-OP’s Operations Department. “Her influence on the CO-OP goes beyond words. She made our jobs easier. She came to work everyday with a smile on her face and a beautiful laugh that echoed down the aisles. Her dedication to the CO-OP will be missed greatly.”

As a graduate of Webster University (St. Louis, Missouri), she obtained a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance. Maddy has a great love of music and aspires to be a famous opera singer. She also desires to become a musical therapist at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania. As she would say, “a therapist by day, and a diva by night!”

While Maddy is moving on, she will always remember her time at the CO-OP.

“I’ll greatly miss being a part of the CO-OP family,” she said. “I’ve become fond of my co-workers and will cherish the memories that I had serving the Swarthmore community.”

Maddy’s last day will be on Saturday, February 27th. Please wish her well during your next visit to the CO-OP.
